Cancelled: Sally Ride visit and lecture
The College of Education’s Distinguished Lecture Series scheduled for Friday evening featuring former NASA astronaut Sally K. Ride has been cancelled.
Ride was forced to change plans due to a serious case of the flu and regrets that she is not well enough to travel. The lecture titled “Reach for the Stars” was to take place at 8 p.m. Friday, May 19, at Zoellner Arts Center’s Baker Hall.
Lehigh and Ride have every intention of rescheduling for a future date. More information will be shared as soon as it becomes available, but plan to visit the College of Education Web site frequently for the latest updates.
Along with representatives from NASA and Air Products, Ride was also planning to meet privately with girls and young women from school districts across the Lehigh Valley during her Lehigh visit.
For more information regarding tickets, call Lehigh University’s Zoellner Box Office at (610) 758-2787.
