Cancelled: Angela Davis and Lupe Fiasco Conversation in Baker Hall
Tonight's conversation with author, educator and activist Angela Davis and hip-hop artist Lupe Fiasco is cancelled due to inclement weather. The event was scheduled for 7 p.m. in Baker Hall at the Zoellner Arts Center, in celebration of the life of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The MLK Celebration Committee will work with the guests to explore the possibility of rescheduling the event for this semester.
This year, Lehigh's MLK celebration was revamped as a year-long focus on social justice. Upcoming events include a lecture by researcher Josh Correll on racial bias and shootings on Friday January 24 at 3:00pm in Linderman Library, sponsored by the Psychology Department and the Social Justice Scholars. On Thursday, January 30 at 8pm in Baker Hall, National Public Radio's (NPR) Michele Norris returns to Lehigh as this year's Kenner Lecture speaker.
