Author discusses future of Internet
Patrick addressed an audience at Perella Auditorium in the Rauch Business Center. He then signed copies of his acclaimed book, Net Attitude. What it is, how to get it and why your company cannot survive without it.
Patrick, a former vice president of Internet technology at IBM for 35 years, believes the next generation of the Internet is about to make today’s Internet seem primitive. His presentation and technology demonstrations will bring to life his vision of the next generation Internet – a network that will be fast, everywhere, easy, intelligent and trusted.
Net Attitude is next-generation attitude, Patrick says. It is hard to describe, but you will know it when you see it.
Those with Net Attitude recognize the Internet as the new medium for all communications, and the primary way in which an organization can relate to all its constituencies. They do not think it is the only way, just the focal point around which all the strategies of an organization can be most efficiently built.
In addition to his afternoon talk at Lehigh, Patrick addressed the Lehigh Valley Young Professional’s Network at the Radisson Hotel Bethlehem that same night.
His visit was sponsored by the Lehigh University Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR). CFR works with the university community to build mutually beneficial relationships with corporate and foundation partners. As a fundraising unit, CFR seeks support from a variety of sources, for programs and projects that advance Lehigh’s mission. For more information, call 610-758-6844.
