On Dec. 10, 2023, Steven Sametz, the Ronald J. Ulrich Professor of Music and artistic director of Lehigh University Choral Arts, conducted his final Christmas Vespers at Packer Memorial Church with the Lehigh University Choral Arts. Hana Cai served as associate director.

As he completes his final and 45th year at Lehigh, Sametz dedicated one of the pieces, “Lo How a Rose,” to the singers of Lehigh University Choral Arts that he had “the pleasure and privilege of working with” over the years–some of whom returned to campus to participate in the program.

PBS, Channel 39, will broadcast the Christmas Vespers at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24.
