A golden year for MBA program

Founded in 1953, the College of Business and Economic's MBA program has developed some of the country's top executives. Our MBA program defines the best MBA traditions, says Richard M. Durand, the Herbert E. Ehlers Dean of CBE. Our focus on a team-oriented, integrated approach develops business leaders with a broad perspective and wide knowledge of business process. It has made us one of the best business schools in the country.
Lehigh MBA graduates are highly sought after by traditional MBA employers as well as emerging companies. Graduates move on to positions of leadership in dynamic new ventures, global service firms, and major corporations.
Through their research, publishing, and executive teaching, our faculty help shape the practice of management, Durand says.
The golden anniversary year features special seminars, a lecture series, alumni gatherings, and a symposium on the future of business management education. On May 22, the college will hold a panel discussion on the Role of MBA in the 21st Century. Dave Wilson, president and CEO of the Graduate Management Admissions Council, will lead the discussion.
This is a great time to highlight the academic excellence of our MBA program, our strong corporate ties associated with our alumni, and to introduce new faculty and programs, Durand says.
