Institutional Announcements

Alert UCPA about content with broad appeal including prominent research, major grants, and faculty, student and alumni achievements. This content will be considered for storytelling, inclusion in university messaging, use in marketing efforts or media platforms and/or amplification through institutional digital outlets.

Alert us if colleges or departments create content about an event or initiative; we will in some cases recommend the content be amplified with appropriate credit on university channels.

UCPA crafts communications for high-level/high-visibility positions such as vice president/dean level, and for other key positions on a case-by-case basis.

UCPA creates content for high-impact and broad university strategic initiatives of priority.

UCPA occasionally crafts stories and email communications for prominent individuals connected to Lehigh. For current faculty, the provost has a protocol in place; generally, UCPA drafts a story and email and the materials are disseminated through the Provost’s Office. For faculty emeriti, communications specialists in the colleges draft stories and obtain family approval; UCPA can post to the News Center, if requested, and these may be used in the alumni magazine. Human resources is the contact for current staff. For prominent alumni, Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) has a protocol with UCPA guidance and partnership.
