Reimbursements for Visits by Merit/Grant Recipients

Congratulations on your offer of admission to Lehigh! The Office of Admissions is excited to help you get to know more about Lehigh over the coming months through various on-campus and virtual events. I know how important experiencing campus in person can be, which is why I am excited to be able to offer reimbursement for lodging and travel for you and your parent(s)/guardian(s) (up to $300) to visit campus prior to May 1, 2024. This offer is for select students that have received merit awards/grants, and those selected students have received notification by email.

In order to have your refund processed, please note that your visit to campus must occur prior to May 1, 2024, and that you must check in at the Admissions Office lobby when you arrive on campus on weekdays or for a weekend Admissions-hosted program.

While admitted students can visit at any time prior to May 1, 2024, we encourage you to join us for Lehigh Fest on either April 13 or April 20. These full day programs include college-specific sessions, as well as introductions to academic, research and global opportunities, and a look at student life at Lehigh. We encourage you to sign up for Lehigh Fest as soon as possible since these events typically fill up quickly. If you can’t attend Lehigh Fest, we offer Admitted Student information sessions and tours on Mondays and Fridays, and you can learn more by visiting the Admitted Student Events page.

Traveling to Lehigh: Airports and Transportation

There are three airports that serve the Lehigh Valley area:

1. Lehigh Valley International Airport (Allentown ABE)

This is the closest airport to Lehigh University and only a ten minute drive to campus. You can take a ride share (Uber or Lyft) to campus. We suggest flying into this airport for convenience.

2. Newark International Airport is approx. one hour 30 mins away from Bethlehem, PA by bus or car.

Trans-Bridge Lines operates bus services from Newark Airport to the Bethlehem Transportation Center. This is the closest bus stop to Lehigh’s campus, and is found at 635 Guetter Street, off of West Broad St. View the bus stop location on Google Maps. Cost is approximately $40 one way. The Bethlehem Transportation Center bus stop is 1.7 miles from campus and we suggest taking a ride share from the bus stop to get to campus. If you prefer renting a car to Lehigh, there are several rental car companies at the airport.

3. Philadelphia International Airport is approximately one hour 30 minutes drive from Bethlehem. There is no direct bus transportation from the airport and we would suggest renting a car if flying into this airport.
