Following the final remarks and the traditional ringing of the bell, the Class of 2026 releases a spectacular wave of caps and tassels into the Bethlehem sky. Captured mid-air against a backdrop of blue, the flying caps symbolize years of hard work, triumphs and enduring South Mountain friendships. The journey is complete; the future begins.

With friends and family cheering from the stands, one of Lehigh’s newest alums celebrates this milestone achievement after crossing the stage at commencement.
Former NYSE President Stacey Cunningham ‘96 enters the stadium with faculty, ready to inspire Lehigh’s Class of 2026 with powerful lessons on resilience. “Questions are one of the most valuable tools at your disposal,” Cunningham said. “I learned it is far more valuable to know the right questions than to know the right answers.” She connected that mindset to the value of pursuing diverse experiences, building varied skill sets and learning from people with different perspectives.
Undergraduate commencement officially concluded with the ringing of the bell by representatives of the classes of 1976 (Bruce “YoGi” Perry P’10) and 2026 (Christopher Haines), per cherished tradition.
Crystal Flores ‘26 brought her creativity and personality together with a look that stood out in a sea of caps and gowns.
Senior cadets of the ROTC Steel Battalion officially take their statutory oaths of office and were commissioned as Second Lieutenants in the United States Army. This ceremony in Packer Memorial Chapel marked the culmination of four years of rigorous academic study, grueling physical training, and exceptional leadership development. The pinning of the gold bars and the rendering of the traditional first salute are powerful milestones as these new officers prepare to lead soldiers and serve the nation proudly.
Through mentorship from professor Joanna Mishtal, Natalie Werbel ’26 found confidence in her research interests and her future in public health.
Clutch joined the commencement celebration with graduates, bringing Lehigh spirit and excitement to one of the University’s biggest days of the year.
Vrushti Patel ’26 completed six study abroad experiences through Lehigh programs, including two Creative Inquiry Global Social Impact Fellowships guided by Khanjan Mehta, vice provost for Creative Inquiry.
“I promise you, the more the world turns to AI as a tool, the more you use your individual, genuine voice, and your ability to navigate real, messy, human interactions with one another as part of a community, will set you apart,” President Helble ‘82 said during his commencement remarks.
Yash Bhor MS’26, an international student from India, said when he first arrived at Lehigh to pursue a master’s in industrial and systems engineering, he felt a bit homesick and missed catching up with his family due to the time zone difference. With encouragement from his sister, Bhor decided to attend the first practice for LU Bhangra, a student organization that performs the traditional folk dance of Punjab, and found his Lehigh family through the team.
Student innovation and experimental learning continue as Lehigh’s own Patrick Stanton ‘26 posed with his track car project, built collaboratively here on campus.
Entrepreneurs Abdulrasaq (Dulra) Amolegbe ’26 and Roman Moskalenko ’26 grew their friendship forged at Lehigh into a business partnership, co-founding Carmel Labs, an AI-focused startup.
