For 13 seasons, he strode the sidelines at Goodman Stadium.
Along the way, Andy Coen won 85 games—tied for most in school history—and led his Mountain Hawks to five Patriot League championships. He was named Patriot League Coach of the Year twice, and his record against that school over in Easton was a sterling 9-4, including a resounding 34-3 win this year.
But as it turned out, that win over the Leopards would be Coen’s last: A few weeks later, Coen announced that he was stepping down as Lehigh’s football coach due to a diagnosis of early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. He leaves behind a legacy of success not only as a coach, but as a mentor and leader of young men.

The Lehigh wrestler is Hotel Bethlehem's first "community ambassador."
The three-time first team All-Patriot League honoree is No. 1 all-time in assists at Lehigh and fifth on the university’s all-time point list.
The hockey program was ranked as high as 23rd this season and won the Eastern Collegiate Hockey Association championship.
